The One-Piece Guedel Oropharyngeal Airway is a medical device used in the maintenance and management of breathing for an unconscious or anaesthetised patient. Inserted in the mouth, and extending to the base of the tongue, the device is designed to open or maintain a patent airway by supporting the tongue, to prevent partial or total obstruction and maintaining a patent airflow through the central lumen of the device.
